The Administrative Division of the Police Department is staffed with a Police Chief, two Police Commanders, an Administrative Assistant, a Police Liaison Officer, a Criminal Intelligence Analyst, and Police Chaplains. The purpose of the Administrative Division is to provide administrative support to the police department, managing the police department budget, monitoring recruitment efforts, ensuring Police Officers Standards of Training (POST) compliance, Research and Development, Professional Standards and Training, Media Relations, and managing various federal and state grants.
The Police Liaison Officer is responsible for community events which include Neighborhood Watch, Police Volunteers, and After School Programs. The Reedley Police Department Police Liaison Officer works to provide solutions, programs, resources, and education in crime prevention. Neighborhood Watch programs help neighbors organize and watch out for each other and their homes.
The Crime Analysis Technician performs a systematic process of collecting, categorizing, analyzing, and disseminating timely, accurate and useful information that describes crime patterns, crime trends and potential suspects.
The community can access up to date information on the Police Department’s Facebook page and for anonymous tips – please call Crime Stoppers at (559) 498-STOP or (559) 498-7867.
The Reedley Police Chaplain Division began in August 1996 and offers guidance and assistance to people in crisis situations. It also serves as a link of communication between people in crises and their own spiritual advisors.
The primary objectives and purpose of the Police Chaplain program is to provide Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) services, counseling, assistance and spiritual guidance. The Police Chaplains stand ready to respond twenty four hours a day. Police Chaplains provide emergency counseling in a pastoral role and do not attempt to replace individual clergy or mental health professional representatives. While the Police Chaplains wear a uniform, they are not a police officer. Police Chaplains working this past year cared for the emotional and spiritual wellbeing of our staff, their families and members of the public who desire their services.
