Youth - Sports Programs
Coach of the Year:
Do you know a coach in one of our youth programs that goes beyond just teaching your child to play a sport? If so, you can nominate them to be our “Youth Sports Coach of the Year”.
Youth Baseball
This program is designed to give boys and girls ages 3-6 years old a positive experience. Participants will have the opportunity to learn the basic skills of baseball and softball. Registration starts February.

Jr. Cager Basketball
Our youth basketball program is for boys and girls in third through eighth grades. The program is designed for participants to learn the game of basketball and its fundamentals. All games are played at the Grant Middle School. Registration begins in October.
Season: Dec.-March
Youth Soccer
The Youth Soccer program is sponsored by Reedley-Kings River Youth Soccer. If you are a girl or boy between the ages of 5 and 14, there is a coed team for you (confident 4 1/2 year olds are allowed). We hope to introduce Under-8 girls teams this year. All players are required to provide a copy of their birth certificate and a wallet size photo to sign-up. Practices begin in late August and games start in September. For further information, please call (559) 978-9071. Registration is Mid-May through July 4th.
Youth Volleyball
Girls in the 3rd – 8th grades are encouraged to take part in this fun program! Basic fundamentals and volleyball skills will be emphasized.
Registration begins in August

Volunteer Coaches
The Community Services Department is always in need of volunteer coaches for our youth sports programs. If you can’t take a team by yourself, consider being an assistant coach with someone else. Please call (559) 637-4203 and volunteer to help. Coaching clinics will be offered on rules and strategies necessary to be a successful coach!
