During the General Plan Update process, this web site will be used to provide information on the update program, highlight upcoming public workshops and hearings, and provide a convenient location to obtain information and reports concerning the General Plan.
Every city in California is required to have an active General Plan. A General Plan is a community's blueprint for future development, a description of a community's development goals and policies; placed to act as the foundation for land use decisions made by the planning commission and city council. Because public involvement is the key to a succesful General Plan, all community members are strongly encouraged to participate.
